About Us

My name is Summer Hinson, I am from Whiteville, NC. I started dancing at the age of 3. I have taken and taught several styles of dance... including tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, pointe, ballet and much more. Since the age of 10 I dreamed of opening up my own studio, and in 2019 my dream came true. I attended at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology (Class of 2023). I am currently pursuing my Masters of Arts in Dance Education and my Licensure of Dance K-12 from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. During the day, I am the dance teacher at Lumberton Junior High School located in Lumberton, NC. This is my second-year teaching there and I am blessed to work with amazing staff and students. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and my doggy baby “Ozzy.” I also enjoy watching crime shows, and LOVE horror movies and Halloween. My goal in my studio is to spread my love for dance to children and young adults in our local community. Dance has always been my outlet to express myself and to release all emotions that I can’t stay. With that being said, dance is a “Hidden Language” hence the name of the studio. My passion has and always will be dance and I hope that one day I can make a difference in not one, but plenty of children’s life. It would be my pleasure to spread my love of dance with your child.
