HLDC Summer Events 2025 

Annual Registration Dates

(Registration Fee: $20 for 1 child, $25 for 2, $30 for 3)

HLDC Competition Interest Meeting

During this meeting, we will discuss what it takes to be a HLDC Competition Team Member. We will go over an overview of costs, events, competitions and more.

HLDC Competition Team Audition Week

If you are invited to partake in auditions, auditions will be $40 for the week... If you are NOT invited to audition, it will

be $80 for the week.

During the week, dancers will learn technical aspects and dance routines in the following genres of dance: jazz, tap, hip- hop & lyrical. Students will be judged the final day by a panel of judges. You will be sent an email of your non- acceptance or acceptance.
NOTE: If the judges feel the dancer is more advanced for their age group, they CAN be moved in a higher level/age of competition team/s.

June 9th – June 11th
K-4th (3:00 – 5:00) *STUDIO B*

5th – 8th (3:00 – 5:00) *STUDIO A*

June 12th – Audition Day

All dancers must wear ALL BLACK (NO logos or graphics on shirt or pants). Attire must be form fitting! Hair needs to be up and out of the face.

K – 4th (3:00 – 4:00)

5th – 8th (4:00 – 5:00) *BOTH HELD IN STUDIO A*

REMEMBER: Early is on time, on time is late, and late is UNACCEPTABLE!

Summer Day Camp (Ages 2 1⁄2 to PK)

Dancers will learn a dance routine each day based on the theme of the day. Dancers will also partake in group activities and beginning gymnast aspects. MUST BE POTTY TRAINED!

July 14th – 16th (9:00am – 10:30am)
July 17th (9:00am – 10:00am) *showcase will be held right after*

Summer Day Camp Showcase

This event is designed for parents to observe the progress their dancer has made during the week.

(10:00am – 11:00am)

$60 for the week (snacks and refreshments will be provided per day) Themes for each day:

o Monday (July 14th – Cowgirl Day) – Yee Haw!, Wear cowgirl attire
o Tuesday (July 15th – Pirate Day) – Ahoy Mateys! Wear pirate attire
o Wednesday (July 16th – Princess Day) – Dress as your favorite Disney Princess

o Thursday (July 17th – HLDC Attire Day) – Wear HLDC attire

(If you do not have attire, wear pink!)

Summer Technique Intensive 

Dancers will learn and be trained in technical aspects. This is an “intensive” camp, so dancers will be pushed beyond their limits. Students will be able to use what is learned to help see improvement in their dancing. – $80 for the week.

HLDC Competition Practices

Mrs. Summer will notify all dancers about practices after auditions. Dancers will be given a monthly schedule for the whole Summer of 2025. Competition members are required to attend ALL practices. If you are not able to attend, please let Mrs. Summer know ahead of time of practice/s.
