Studio Rules & Etiquette

Studio Rules: 

Hidden Language Dance Company is dedicated to training well-rounded dancers and gymnasts. Our primary goal is for your children to have fun while learning dance technique and strong work ethics. We believe that good dance etiquette is of equal importance to good dancers. We expect all dancers to respect themselves, and show respect to each other, and to all instructors. You will see our instructors enforcing the following rules....

 

Dance & Studio Etiquette:


- Be prepared for class, have proper dress wear and be on time!
- Hair must be pulled up and out of the face.
- Use the bathroom prior to class.
 - NO cell phones during class. (Starting summer of 2025 all students will be required to give their phones to the instructor. Instructors will have a cell phone box where their phone will be placed until after class. If you need to contact your child, please contact the instructor or Mrs. Summer.)
- NO gum.
-  Be respectful and kind to instructors and peers.
- Do not talk during class unless you are asking a question.
- Be willing to try new dance material and have positive energy in class. If you must leave early, please notify the instructor prior to class.
- Do NOT have frequent class absences.
- Help keep your studio clean. Throw away your trash.
- NO GOSSIP, OBSCENE LANGUAGE, OR INAPPROPRIATE CONVERSATIONS.

*HLDC will not tolerate bullying, dramatization. HLDC is family oriented and we are here for the love of dance and to have fun!!!


- No drinks allowed in the studio rooms other than water.

- Put name or initials in all dance shoes. 

- A $20 recital fee will be added to the last monthly bill to cover expenses for the yearly dance recital. 

- Be assured that all teachers at Hidden Language Dance Company are trained and under the instruction of Mrs. Summer as to how and what they teach each class. 

- Hidden Language Dance Company will not be responsible for accidents occurring on or around our premises. 

 

Attendance Policy:


- As with any program, steady attendance is a requirement for success. Failure to meet such requirements can lead to dismissal from the studio.
- Parents are responsible for communicating absences to the dance studio/instructor.
- Any student who misses more than five classes may be required to forfeit their class space.
- Competition dancers have committed their time, and I expect them to commit to attending classes regularly. More than three classes missed will result in possible removal from the HLDC Competition team/s.
- There are no refunds for missed classes.
